'Unexplained death' of young woman in St Austell

Police are investigating the 'unexplained death' of a young woman in St Austell.

Paramedics and officers were called to a property on Albert Road on Saturday lunchtime, amid concerns for somebody's welfare.

A young woman, believed to be 19, was sadly found dead at the scene.

Police are now trying to work out what happened and a scene guard remains in place.

Anyone with information is being urged to get in touch.

"Police were called by the ambulance service at 1pm on Sunday 22nd March to a property on Albert Road, St Austell, following reports of a concern for a woman within an address.

"Emergency services attended the property where a woman, believed to be aged 19, was confirmed deceased. Her next of kin have been informed.

"Police enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstance which led to the death.

"A scene guard remains in place whist officer carry out their enquiries."
