Two men seriously injured in Callington assault

Two men have been seriously injured following an assault in Callington on Thursday. 

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to a car park at Kit Hill at around 9.30pm. 

A 22-year-old man from Plymouth was found unconscious with a significant head injury. 

He was taken to Derriford Hospital where his condition is described by police as critical. 

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man was also taken to Derriford where he is being treated for multiple injuries which are considered life-changing, possibly life-threatening. 

A 29-year-old man from Gunnislake has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. 

The force says it is not known at this time if any persons involved have Covid-19.
