Man dies after crash involving motorbike and tractor

A man has died after a crash involving a motorbike and a tractor near Penzance.

Police say the two vehicles collided on the A30 in the Higher Drift Farm area on Saturday afternoon.

The air ambulance and paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly the 38-year-old local died at the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage is asked to contact officers.

"At approximately 16.12 hours on Saturday 28th March 2020, Police were informed of a road traffic collision involving a red Kawasaki motorcycle and a green John Deere tractor, which had occurred on the A30 at Higher Drift Farm, south west of Penzance.

"South West Ambulance Service and Cornwall Air Ambulance attended, however the rider of the motorcycle, a 38-year-old local male from the Penzance area, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Local Police officers and officers from the Roads Policing and Serious Collision Investigation Teams attended the scene."

Police are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those with dash cam footage, to make contact on 101, quoting log 0392 of 28/03/20.
