A manhunt is underway after a police car was rammed near Newquay.

It happened whilst officers were responding to a drunk driver in Quintrell Downs area.

Luckily no one was hurt but the vehicle was damaged on Sunday.

Officers from Newquay say they are still searching for the offender.

"Sad to report that whilst responding to a drunk driver on 29/03 in the Quintrell Downs area one of our police vehicles was rammed by the offender.

"Thankfully the only damage was to the car and not the officer.
