Woman sustains "life-changing" injuries in Falmouth crash

A 63-year-old woman has sustained life-changing injuries following a crash near Falmouth on Tuesday. 

Emergency services were called to Lemon Hill, Mylor Bridge after reports of a collision between a White Volkswagen Polo and a number of pedestrians. 

The woman was airlifted to hospital where she is currently being treated. The other persons involved were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the VW Polo, a 94-year-old local man, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the collision to investigate and establish how the collision occurred.

Witnesses and anybody with dashcam footage of the collision, or the driving of the vehicle prior to the collision are requested to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 with information quoting log number 0166 of 31st March 2020 or email 101@dcpolice.co.uk
