GP surgeries in Cornwall have launched an appeal to find large marquees which could be used for drive-through patient assessments.

East Cornwall Primary Care Network issued the plea on social media to companies or individuals which might be able to provide marquees.

The network covers Launceston, Callington, Liskeard, Looe, Saltash, Torpoint and surrounding areas.

The public appeal reads: “East Cornwall Primary Care Network are hoping to set up a number of drive-through NHS assessment sites, housed in rigid marquees, across the region.

“To achieve this we are looking for any companies or individuals that may have any very large marquee structures that we can use to deliver on-site, drive-through assessment and consultation of patients.

“These marquees will need to have a solid frame with adequate internal size to accommodate around four car lengths with width to allow for internal sectioned off clinical areas.

“We know that this is a large request, but also know that by working with the fantastically generous members of public in East Cornwall, that we will be able to continue to provide the very highest level of care for everyone in the community.”

Anyone who can help with the appeal is asked to contact the network via email info@eastcornwallpcn.co.uk
