Pedestrian critical after Penryn crash

A pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries after an Easter Sunday crash in Penryn.

The man was caught in a collision with a car in the early hours of the morning in the Treluswell area.

He was rushed to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Officers carried out an investigation of the scene and anyone who saw what happened is being urged to get in touch.

"At approximately 00:40hrs on Sunday 12th April police were informed of a road traffic collision on the B3292 at Lower Treluswell, Penryn, involving a silver Peugeot 206 and a male pedestrian.

"The pedestrian was taken from the scene to hospital with serious life threatening injuries, where his condition remains critical.

"Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer.

"The driver of the vehicle is helping police with their enquiries.

"A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the exact cause of this collision.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision and who may have dash cam footage to telephone 101 quoting Log 27 12/04/2020.
