A heartfelt tribute has been paid to a young pedestrian who died after a crash in Penryn.

Rob Chandler was caught in a collision with a car in the early hours of Easter Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Lower Treluswell at around 12.40am on the 12th April.

The 30-year-old from Ponsanooth was rushed to hospital but tragically he died four days later.

Now his family have paid a tribute in his memory, saying “his effect on others was instant and forever lasting".

“Rob was a son, a brother, an uncle and a great friend to many.

“His effect on others was instant and forever lasting.

"His care, compassion and willingness to help others was at the forefront of his life and will extend after his death as it was his wish that his body be used to help those more in need elevating the pain of others.

“We are grateful to all those who surrounded Rob during his life and take solace in knowing how loved he was.

“We would also like to thank all those who cared for Rob and the family in his final moments. We are grateful for the valiant efforts of all those involved.”
