Cornish hospital worker raises funds for PPE

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 5:17pm 26th May 2020.

A hospital worker for Treliske is doing a half marathon in memory for her mother, Lynda Carter.

The proceeds will be donated to carers in Cornwall to ensure enough Personal Protective Equipment can be bought.

Felicity Pickup who is a biomedical scientist at Treliske Hospital, is hoping to raise one thousand pounds for "our elderly and vulnerable in Cornwall".

"I'm doing a half marathon for Cornwall care in memory of my mum on what would be her birthday (21st June). I work at treliske hospital as a Biomedical Scientist and want to help show the love for our carer's! Please can you help me spread the word? I've made it to £235 but I'm aiming for £1000!! It'll do so much to help all of our elderly and vulnerable in Cornwall and to help our carer's to get enough of the right PPE to stay safe. I am adding the link for my just giving page that has full details of my story and the Run....i could really do with a little help raising funds!! Any help would be incredible!"
