Mevagissey men launch new track to aid Cornwall Hospice Care

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 4:01pm 7th June 2020.

Mevagissey Male Choir have released a new track to raise funds for Cornwall Hospice Care.

The new track, one of a number recorded over the past year or so, to be included on the Choir’s next CD, is their popular ‘Back to the ‘60s’ medley, which runs to almost 12 minutes! It has not been released publicly until now.

All proceeds from the sale of the track will go to Cornwall Hospice Care, whose own fund-raising activities have been severely handicapped by the current lockdown.

In January this year, in their last but one concert before lockdown, the Choir helped the Cornish healthcare charity launch what was expected to be an exciting and action-packed 40th Anniversary Year, now so cruelly disrupted.

The new track can be downloaded simply by visiting the Choir’s website –  www.meva-choir.co.uk - and following the instructions. The ‘minimum’ price of the download is £2.50, but it is hoped that people will ‘add’ a donation to their payment.

Unable to practise since 9th March, the Choir have been forced to cancel all their commitments for the foreseeable future, including their regular appearance at Mevagissey Feast Week, itself called off this year.

They hope that all their followers, and many more, will take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a ‘taster’ of their next CD, which will hopefully be available later this year, and, in so doing, help support this wonderful charity.
