Dog walker 'punched in the head' on Cornish beach

A dog walker has reportedly been punched in the head whilst on a beach in Cornwall.

Police say a man in his 70s was assaulted by a man in his 40s while he was walking his dog on Par beach.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Monday afternoon.

Officers  in St Austell are appealing for information to try and identify the suspect.

"Police were called to Par beach on Monday 8th June, at around 2pm, with a report that a man in his 70s had been punched in the head by a man in his 40s, while walking his dog."
