Man in towel knocking on doors and asking to shower in Truro

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 6:47am 25th June 2020.

There have been reports of a man wearing only a towel knocking on people's doors and asking to use their showers in Truro.

Police say the individual was carrying a wash bag and a sponge when the incidents happened on Tuesday.

Officers say this is "unusual behaviour" and he may have been in the company of another man who was close by, and dressed.

Anyone who has any information about what happened is being asked to contact police.

"We had two reports yesterday of a male wearing only a towel knocking on doors in Truro asking to use the occupiers shower.

"He was carrying a wash bag and a sponge. He was refused his request and left. He may of been in company with another male close by who was dressed.

"This is unusual behaviour and we are asking for any information on this, as we are keen to speak to the male to ascertain if his intentions were as he purported."

Marc Sayers, Truro Police
