Man's body found on north Cornwall beach

A man's body has been found on a beach on the north Cornwall coast.

Police and paramedics were called to Tintagel just before 9am on Thursday amid concerns for a person's welfare.

A casualty was found at the scene and sadly he could not be saved.

Officers say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Police were notified this morning at around 8.45am to reports of a concern of welfare of a person on Tintagel beach. 

"A male casualty was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics. The man’s next of kin have been informed.

"Officers are not currently treating the incident as suspicious."
