A38 crash leaves man in hospital with serious injuries

An appeal has gone out after a crash in south east Cornwall left a man his hospital with serious injuries.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the A38 at Landrake, near Saltash, just after midnight on Wednesday morning.

A male passenger was rushed to hospital and the road was closed while police investigators went over the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam footage, is being asked to contact officers.

"Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a two-vehicle collision on the A38 in Landrake, Saltash.

"It happened at around 12.30am on Wednesday 8th July.

"A male passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His next-of-kin have been informed.

"The road was closed while a scene examination was conducted.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses of the collision, anyone who saw either vehicle prior to it, or who has dashcam footage, to come forward."
