A38 closed due to two car collision in Two Waters Foot

The A38 in Cornwall is closed in both directions due to a collision between two vehicles at Two Waters Foot.  

Police were called at 3.45pm on Monday afternoon to the A38 at Two Waters Foot, Liskeard following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Two people are currently believed to have sustained serious injuries.

Police, Fire and Ambulance are at the scene and the road is closed.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time and use diversions which have been put in place which are as follows:

  • For traffic travelling eastbound follow the diversion route using the solid square diversion symbols displayed on the road signs.
  • Leave the A38 and take the third exit off the roundabout onto Turfdown Road, travel approximately 2 miles to the next roundabout and then take the first exit onto the B3268 southbound.
  • At the junction with the A390 turn left and follow the road for approximately 9 miles where it meets the A38 near Doublebois.
  • For westbound traffic please follow the above in reverse, again following the solid square diversion symbols.

Highways England has advised that those travelling in the area this afternoon (Monday), to allow extra time for your journey or consider alternative routes.

Delays are likely on approach to the closures, with additional journey times also expected on the diversion routes

"Two Waters Foot - A38 closed, queueing traffic due to serious accident near The Halfway House Inn Hotel."
