Man dies after three-vehicle crash on the A38

A man has died after a three-vehicle crash on the A38 in the Glynn Valley.

Police were called to Two Waters Foot just before 4pm on Monday afternoon, after two vans and a car collided.

Sadly a 62-year-old from Falmouth died at the scene and his family has been told.

Officers say several other people suffered minor injuries.

The stretch of road was closed for hours while investigators went over the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage is being asked to contact officers.

"Police attended a three-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at around 3.45pm yesterday, Monday 13th July, on the A38 at Glynn Valley, near Two Waters Foot.

"The vehicles involved were a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Luton van, a white Citroen Relay van and a silver Ford Mondeo.

"Sadly, the driver of the Mondo, a 62-year-old man from Falmouth, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed.

"The other occupants of the vehicles sustained minor injuries.

"Specialist officers from Devon & Cornwall Police’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended as well as a Forensic Collision Investigator and a Scenes of Crime Officer.

"A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene."
