Firefighters blocked by someone picking up a takeaway in Wadebridge

Firefighters in Wadebridge say they were blocked in by someone picking up a takeaway when trying to respond to an emergency shout.

The crew shared a warning message on social media, urging people not to park outside the fire station.

They revealed that a crew member had to go and ask a member of the public to move their vehicle, which they had parked to pick up a takeaway, so the emergency crew could get out.

"The parking outside our station is reserved for FIREFIGHTERS and those with a VALID PERMIT ONLY.

"While responding to an emergency recently, a crew member had to ask a member of the public to move their vehicle as they were parked up to pick up a takeaway."
