Pensioner dies on beach in Padstow

A pensioner has died following a suspected medical episode on a beach in Padstow on Saturday.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called by the ambulance service around 4.40pm to reports that a man had suffered a suspected medical episode at Treyarnon Bay beach. 

The man, aged in his 80's from Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

His next of kin have been informed. 

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. 

Police were called by the ambulance service at around 4.40pm on Sunday 26 July with a report that a man had suffered a suspected medical episode at Treyarnon Bay beach, Padstow.

Sadly the man, aged in his 80s and from Kent, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
