Youth Unemployment Warning
7:43am 16th November 2011
(Updated 7:43am 16th November 2011)
The number of young people out of work is expected to hit one million.
Unemployment figures are due out later.
Unions are demanding government action.
They warn 16 to 24 year olds are bearing the brunt of the UK's jobs crisis.
Kelly is a careers' advisor in Liskeard.
She says it can be tougher here: "The rurality does make it difficult. The transport links make it harder as well. Don't be put off by the transport problem though because you can get around. It just is a little bit harder, but not impossible.
"It is difficult for young people and I think sometimes the message that young people hear is that there aren't jobs and you won't get any and it can destroy your motivation a little bit. Which is where hopefully we're here to help to say that they are there and we can help you find those jobs".
