Killer whales have been spotted off the Cornish coast.

The mother and calf have been seen off Trevose head near Padstow.

Ocean expert Dom Clarke was walking the dog when he saw them. He told Pirate FM, "The calf popped up behind so I assumed it was the mother and calf killer whales. It was amazing to see because we get a lot of things coming past the headland in the form of birds. But never whales like that. It was kind of a rare spot. I was just gutted it was just me and this chap and I couldn't share it with more people. I was even more livid I didn't have a camera with me to take a picture because it was absolutely amazing."
