Cornwall is celebrating.

But the Bishop of Cornwall is warning, some people will not be.

Bishop Tim is using his festive message to urge people to consider those hit by the recession.

He is warned some are still in denial and think the world will go back to how it used to be.

He says things have changed - and some are being left behind...

“ Sadly I’m very, very well aware inCornwallat the moment that there are people whose jobs are under threat, who know that they are going to lose their job in the New Year. There are situations where there are families are under massive financial pressure”

“ I was talking to someone up in Wadebridge the other day where the food bank there has just given out its thousandth food parcel to a family. I really do want to ask what we’re playing at, in this day and age in the 21st century ,where we have families inCornwall who are in desperate need of food to survive day by day”
