Grieving Parents Pledge to Press On With Ellie's Haven

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 7:01am 10th January 2012.

The grieving parents of a terminally ill girl from Looe say they will press on with their dream of building a holiday retreat for others.

Little Ellie Libby died on Thursday, just days before her seventh birthday. Doctors originally believed she would not make it past her first birthday. She had been battling a rare brain disorder meaning she needed round the clock care.

She inspired the charity campaign to build Ellie's Haven, a centre that will help families with long term illnesses take a break.

The appeal has so far raised £390,000.
