Teenage mums in Cornwall are thrown an employment lifeline.

A new course is starting, to boost their chances of getting a job.

19 year old Katt Cornelius from St Blazey has signed up to 'Young Mums Will Achieve'.

She has a five month old baby girl and tells the Westcountry Tonight it can be daunting: "I got told about this by a couple of friends who I knew that went before and they said it helps you get your grades up and then gets you onto a further college course. I wanted to be able to provide a better life for Chloe when she's older and be able to bring in more money.

"I was eighteen when I was pregnant and I was working in a local shop in St Austell and I got so many looks because I think I must look younger than I am or something. You get so many looks. Even now, when I'm walking round with pushchair, you get a lot of people looking you up and down".
