A former fisherman who admitted sexually attacking a schoolgirl on a Cornish lane is waking up behind bars.

It is 19 years since William Pope from Penzance carried out the assault.

The 51 year old was caught because of advances in DNA.

Now he is starting a six year sentence, after Truro Crown Court heard how his victim still cannot walk in the dark alone.
