An urgent appeal as Cornwall prepares to Race for Life.

Cancer Research UK is calling on more women to sign up for the 5K events.

Penzance is next week.

Only 62% of places are filled.

Survivors Tracey Bew from Helston and her sister are both running.

They were diagnosed within weeks of each other: "As soon as I had my diagnosis I just went to her and I said, look, are you up to date with your smear? She said no so I made her promise me to go and get it done. I was in hospital at the time and she told me she was all clear. Then when I came out ten days later, she said actually I lied.

"We were among the lucky ones. We've managed to pull through it, been there for each other and if we can just help another person, then it's all worthwhile; most definitely".
