A Redruth man is jailed after his baby son was found covered in bruises, with 18 rib fractures.

Anthony Craddock has been convicted of child cruelty.

The 22 year old from Illogan Highway previously told jurors he would "never do anything to hurt a child - he's my world."

A judge told Truro Crown Court the five month old's injuries were similar to that of a car crash.

He has been sentenced to five years behind bars.

The tot's mum, 20 year old Jade Ninnis from Redruth, has been given a suspended sentence for wilful neglect.
