Controversial plans to overhaul fire cover in West Cornwall have been given the go ahead.

The Council vote means stations at Camborne and Redruth will be replaced by a control centre at at Tolvaddon and another new site at Hayle.

The Council says crews will be able to reach more emergencies inside 10 minutes.

How much taxpayers have to pay will depend on a bid for government funding.
