Arrest Over Petrol Station Robbery

Police investigating an armed robbery on a Cornish petrol station have made an arrest.

It is after staff at a Shell garage near Kingsley Village at Fraddon were confronted by a robber with what appeared to be a gun on Monday evening.

He got away with scratchcards after the cashier refused to hand over money.

A man has been picked up in Plymouth.

A police spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested by officers in the Plymouth area and he is due to be questioned by detectives from Newquay later today."
