A scheme to slash energy bills in the Duchy starts a recruitment drive.

Three thousand locals have signed up to Cornwall Together, which wants families to club together to buy in bulk.

Now roadshows are pushing for more.

Matt Hastings came up with idea and tells us it could save hundreds of pounds a year:

"There is no power like the power of the people. Ultimately the energy companies have to listen to five thousand people if that's the number we end up with, because if they don't listen to us it will potentially being at their peril.

"There's a real serious issue for Cornwall in terms of fuel poverty, where people are having to make some really serious decisions about whether or not they put the heating on or whether they can actually put food on the table"

Roadshows are happening on:

Sept 26th - Cornwall Council Foyer - 8am

Sept 28th - County Arms, Truro - 6pm

Oct 1st - Eden Project Cafe, White River Place, St Austell - 3pm-7pm
