Newquay Homes Plans are Revealed

A whole new community is proposed on the outskirts of Newquay.

The development at Nanseldan includes a school, supermarket, church and work units.

In the end up to four thousand houses could be built.

Andy Cole from Newquay Regeneration Forum said: "Our hope is in the forum that we get the work space environment we've been promised so people, rather than having to travel from Newquay, can do what they want to do which is work and live locally.

"We all want the land to remain as we all know it, in its natural environment, it's beautiful. Obviously the authorities make sure that any developer takes that into consideration - and the local community will be watching very intently."
