Boxing Day Bravery

A Cornish policeman who crawled into a burning building on Boxing Day will be handed a bravery award.

PC Gareth Hawken wanted to check that no-one was left inside the residential home in St Austell.

He is being given the recognition by the Home Secretary on Thursday afternoon.
