Pensioner Collides With Lorry

A Cornish pensioner is fighting for her life after she collided with a lorry in St Columb.

 

The pedestrian was in collision with the 7.5 tonne delivery lorry as it reversed out of Jenner Parc, a residential cul-de-sac.

 

She suffered serious and extensive injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where she underwent surgery. She is still in intensive care.

 

The driver of the DAF lorry, a 48-year-old man from Exeter, has been interviewed by police.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened around 11.15am on Saturday 27th October.

 

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 280 of 27/10/12.
