An inquest has ruled that a Newquay schoolboy who died in a house fire was unlawfully killed.

10 year old Ben Philpotts suffered serious head injuries before the blaze at Trevarrian in 2010, that also killed his parents.

A coroner has recorded open verdicts on their deaths.

It is thought that Ben's dad Harold, who had a history of mental health problems, started the fire.
