Police insist they are winning the war on drugs in Newquay.

Bouncers at one club have seized speed, ecstasy and some heroin in the last month.

Inspector Dave Meredith has told Pirate FM it is not a significant problem: "There are a lot of recreational drugs circulating around Newquay and we do tragically have some drug related deaths. We do have a robust policy in relation to drug seizures but what we do also recognise as well is that there are drug victims."
