A St Ives taxi driver has been jailed after sexually assaulting three passengers.

Truro Crown Court heard how Nigel Holland attacked the women as he gave them lifts in 2010.

One of the attacks happened on the eve of his wedding.

The 51 year old from Trelawney Avenue in the town will spend four years behind bars.

He was told by Judge David Ticehurst "You targeted vulnerable young women for your sexual gratification. You have shown no remorse or understanding of the seriousness of your offending and as such pose a danger to other women.

"Your friends and relations are amazed and astonished at the true revelations of your character."

Mr Holland's defence team stressed he was of previous good character and was very well thought of by the people of St Ives.

He must also sign the Sex Offenders' Register for the rest of his life.
