Ten thousand families in Cornwall are to be warned they could face flooding.

The Cornwall Community Flood Forum fears hundreds do not know they are at risk, but have not taken any action.

Malcolm Brooks owns restaurants and a hotel in Looe.

He wants insurance pay outs to be sped up, and said: "When I go into other businesses and I see other shopowners in tears because of the situation, we have a problem. Now, what we need is the insurance companies to help us out.

"It's gut wrenching to think that we're having to fight obstacles, when nobody can control the weather, but everybody is fighting."
