Cornish doctors and nurses could be told to give up holidays and work longer to keep their jobs.

Pirate FM has seen a business plan from a south-west consortium, looking at pay, terms and conditions.

It is suggesting hospitals including Treliske and Derriford bring in cuts to maternity and sick pay too.

Stuart Roden from the union Unison is fighting the plans: "The real issues are to get a first-class health service in Cornwall that we're all proud of and at the moment, while we're talking about cutting staff's pay and conditions, obviously staff are professional but it's not going to place them in the right frame of mind to provide the first-class, leading health care that we could have in Cornwall."
