Woman Injured in Attempted Robbery

A woman has been left with cuts and grazes after an attempted robbery in Redruth.

The twenty-four year old was pulled to the ground when someone grabbed her handbag on Drump Road.

It happened some time between midnight and 1am.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The offender grabbed her shoulder bag from behind and pulled her backwards to the ground, but she struggled and managed to hold onto her bag before the offenders ran off.

"The victim sustained a cut below her right eye and cuts and grazes."
