A stolen van has been involved in a hit and run incident in Hayle.

Devon and Cornwall Police say a black Ford Transit was taken last Thursday evening before a crash on Carsnew Road.

Anyone who saw it and a Peugeot 306 car collide at around 8.45 pm is being urged to contact officers.

The van, signwritten 'ALLOY KINGS', was later found abandoned in Trevoarn Flats in the town.

No-one was seriously injured.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, particularly the driver of the van, to call 101 and quote crime reference AY/13/311.
