Cornwall's Sunshine Boost
2:17pm 7th June 2013
Cornwall is walking on sunshine.
The Duchy is set to bask all weekend as temperatures head to the twenties.
Tourism businesses battling a drop in bookings hope it is going to spell a change in fortunes.
Tim Smit is the man behind Eden: "Of course the weather pulls people in and I think also you know that what you get is a basic foundation of probably the best beaches in Europe, you get wild places, you get the exotic gardens and you've also got the quality of food and things that are on offer now are on a par with anywhere else in the world.
"We deserve a great year because last year the weather was so unbelievably bad and actually I don't want people to lose the habit of coming to Cornwall. Not because of our tourism industry. I just think that when people come to Cornwall they create the sort of memories that last them for life."
