The Fresh Prince of Bel Air could be making more trouble in your neighbour.

A remake of the hit nineties comedy is in the works.

It doesn't sound like 46 year old Will Smith will be reprising his role as a troubled teen - but he is a producer.

That means a whole new cast of characters.

Listen to the moment newsreader Tristan Hunkin broke the news with his own rap on Pirate FM this morning...

The original series ended in 1996 and told the story of wise-cracking west Philadelphia Will, who was sent to live with his upmarket aunt and uncle in California.

The six series followed the personality clashes and misadventures of the family and was a launch pad for Will Smith's own film career.

It is the latest 90s show getting a reboot - after a new run of The X Files began shooting.

There is no word yet on when it will hit screens or what the new plot is likely to be.

Until then - let's remember that iconic theme tune...
