Tributes are pouring in for the actor who played Manuel in Fawlty Towers.

It is understood Andrew Sachs died in a care home last week.

The 86-year-old had been diagnosed with a type of dementia four years ago.

Co-star John Cleese says he was a "truly great farceur", describing him as "gentle" and "kind".

David Walliams has called the man, famous for his role as the Spanish waiter, "comic perfection".

Take a look back at some of the top Manuel moments...

1) "I know nothing"...

2) Manuel mans the phone - well it was always going to go badly eh?

3) In fact - things always seemed to go a bit wrong with Manuel around...

4) As Sybil would say - "don't worry about him, he's from Barcelona"...

5) Who could forget the sausages!

And on top of that - Manuel's trademark phrase - "Que?".

Well, there were so many of these we had to find a montage.

Enjoy!
