WATCH: The Love Actually Scene We Never Got To See

Published at 11:14am 19th December 2016.

Less than a week to go until the big day! That means it is time to grab a blanket and binge watch your favourite Christmas films.

Love Actually has been named the nation’s favourite festive flick according to The Radio Times.

It follows nine love stories over Christmas and shows how the power of love connects us all.

But there should have been ten...

A deleted scene shows the heartbreaking yet beautiful story of a same-sex couple who are torn apart by a tragic illness.

Actresses Anne Reid and Fances de la Tour grip us with their emotional performance and it will certainly tug at your heartstrings.

Watch it for yourself…

One person commented: “They should have left it in. Such a beautiful couple.”

While another writes: “This 100% should’ve stayed in the film.”

What do you think - should they have kept this scene in the movie?

While Love Actually is an obvious choice over the festive period, let’s take a look at the other top films to get us in the spirit…

Home Alone

This 90s classic is the perfect festive treat. It follows a young boy who gets mistakenly left behind over Christmas. But it does not end there, Kevin has to handle two burglars…

This Will Ferrell classic is a feel-good flick ready to make you giggle. Follow Buddy’s journey as he leaves the North Pole in search for his real father. He gets a job, eats spaghetti for breakfast and finds love in New York City.

It’s A Wonderful Life

A 1940s Christmas film that gives you that fuzzy feeling. George Bailey lives in a small town and when he prepares to jump from a bridge, his Guardian angel shows him what life would be like if he had never lived.

The Holiday

A romantic comedy, certain to give you that festive feeling. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black make this a must-see movie. Two heartbroken women exchange homes over the festive period, and what they find is pretty special.

The Snowman

A little boy builds a snowman who comes to life, the pair then go on a magical adventure to meet Santa at the North Pole!

The Grinch

A popular Dr. Seuss story shows Jim Carey playing The Grinch, a scrooge-like character who hates everything about Christmas. He then meets Cindy Lou Who, who changes everything.

Die Hard

Fancy a more thrilling storyline? Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis is set on Christmas Eve and follows an off-duty police officer on a mission to save hostages from a group of terrorists.
