VIDEO: Pirate FM Suspends Presenter Who Gatecrashed England Training Session And Started Playing Football

Harry Peak - Invading Pitch

Published at 9:04am 19th May 2016. (Updated at 12:24pm 19th May 2016)

It is revealed that the prankster who interrupted an England training session was a Cornish teenager who presented a show on Pirate FM's sister station, Pirate 2.

Harry Peak dressed in full England kit and ran onto the pitch at St George's Park, ahead of the friendly with Turkey on Sunday. He kicked a football and introduced himself to the England manager before security officials escorted him away.

He has now issued an apology saying that his intention "was not to embarrass anyone or cause concern."

Players were having a drinks break when Harry decided to join them. The national team's chief physiotherapist realised something was wrong and ordered him off the pitch.

When challenged by Roy Hodgson, Harry introduced himself as players looked on.

He eventually ran off, stopping to kick a ball on the way. He was met by a member of security staff in the stand and escorted away.

In a statement the Football Association said: "The person in question was the son of an invited Club Wembley member who had to follow a formal registration process on entry to St George's Park.

"The FA were aware of his identity and we will take the appropriate action in due course as a result of this unacceptable behaviour."

Harry was sitting his A-level exams on Thursday and could not be reached. In a statement posted on his Twitter account he said:

Pirate FM's Managing Director, Mark Peters, said: "Harry is a maverick presenter - but it would appear he has taken things too far.

"We were exploring other avenues following the broadcast of the last edition of the Youth Show on DAB station Pirate 2.

"But we are suspending him while we investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident at the England training ground."

The final edition of the Youth Show was broadcast on DAB station Pirate 2 on Saturday afternoon. It was presented by Harry and his sister Jess.
