VIDEO: The Revenant Turns Into A Silent Film

What if 'The Revenant' was produced back in the 1920s as a silent, black and white film?

Well, now we're finding out.

Mashable Watercooler has adapted of Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscar-winning performance into a 1920s experience.

It promises: "The incredible true story... of a handsome man crawling through the woods...and drifting down rivers..."

The black and white montage begins with a dark and dramatic feel but soon gets transformed into a cheeky compilation.

Watch as Leo's character meets a new friend, enjoys the snow and tops it all off with "sensational final showdown!".

Despite a few spoilers sprinkled in, it's certainly a masterpiece not to be missed:
