LISTEN: Woman Calls 999 After Being Denied Her 'Burger Rights'

Published at 11:52am 6th April 2016.

A woman from Leeds phoned 999 after she was denied entry into a fast food shop.

The audio reveals the moment the woman demands a police officer.

The woman tells the operator: "It's not really an emergency, but I was in the club and went to McDonald's and they said I'm too drunk to go in...

"I've had two drinks, I'd like a police officer please"

The operator tells her: "It's their premises and their right to decide who comes in."

The woman then claims entry is a "mandatory right" - although it is not clear that Happy Meals are enshrined in the Human Rights Act.

After nearly a minute on the phone, the operator tells the woman: "We won't be attending. Goodbye"
