PHOTOS: Would You Buy A Personalised Banana?

Published at 11:58am 27th April 2016.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

A personalised banana business is taking Texas and the internet by storm.

Davonte Wilson from Planto, Texas created Bananas Gone Wild with the intention of producing a whole varieties of fruit friends.

We’re talking added glitter, hair, googly eyes and so much more.

The possibilities appear to be endless when it comes to Wilson’s designs. The products start from $10 each and it’s predicted his thriving business will make more than $100,000.

It started when Wilson would draw on bananas for fun, and working as a electrocardiogram technician his fellow colleagues would regularly tease him for his hobby.

It doesn’t look like he has to worry about that any more.

If you’re thinking about eating the personalised banana, Devonte does not recommend consumption upon arrival.

And if you’re wondering how the banana stays fresh during shipping - they’re wrapped in plastic wrap, ensuring the oxidation process is prevented.

Looks like he's got this business sussed.

Check out some of the designs below… would you send one to a friend?
