Great Cornish Food Store 1

Great Cornish Foodstore

They are operating a new business model during the Coronavirus.

The store is now only open to take orders by phone and email so that shopping can be collected from the store, or delivered to homes.

It is the same personalised service and the same quality produce – just a different way of shopping.

Operating hours are Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm (collections from 9am).

Orders placed before 1pm can be ready for collection from the store next working day.

Deliveries to your home may take longer – there is a new home delivery schedule which you can view here.

Philip Warren 5

Phillip Warren Butchers

The business has been farming and butchering since 1880 and to this day they still “dry age” and mature their meat the traditional way on the bone before cutting.

As well as farming themselves they work with many other small farmers who farm the margins of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and throughout the grasslands of the Tamar Valley in-between.

They are offering several options for delivering their produce.

If you are local to Launceston then there is free local delivery, give them a call on 01566 772244 or email

If you are in a TR or PL postcode then delivery is just £4.99 and for further afield delivery is £9.99.

Also keep an eye out on where you can bid for a fresh butchers box with money raised going to NHS charities.

Proper Cornish

Proper Cornish

Proper Cornish has been making hand-crimped pasties for over 30 years.

They work with local farmers to ensure quality and freshness of their ingredients, and they still hand crimp every pasty - often as many as 60,000 pasties a day.

During the current circumstances they are working with a reduced team to ensure they are able to continue to provide their Cornish pasties to the many pasty fans around Cornwall and beyond.

They have therefore set up their own home delivery service covering a select area of Cornwall.

Collections are also available from their Bodmin Bakery at trade prices.

They are able to offer pasties by post nationwide.

Simply give their order sales line a call on 01208 265838.

Cornish sourdough 5

Cornish Sourdough Bakery

The bakery are delivering sourdough bread across Cornwall and parts of Devon from their brand new unit in Callington.

Just call them on  01566 248029 and pay for your order over the phone.

They offer 4 types of bread for delivery which are known as the “Fab Four”: wholemeal sourdough, traditional white sourdough, Bordelaise sourdough (white, wholemeal, rye mix) and West Country sourdough (a creamy white).

All are priced at £2.85 each with a minimum of 6 breads per delivery plus a £2 delivery charge.

All their breads are individually wrapped and can go straight into the freezer.

You can also add orders for sourdough croissant, pain aux raisin or pain aux chocolate all frozen ready for home baking.

As it’s sourdough they will need at least 48 hours notice for orders so they can make and bake what you need.
