Plea for donations from the Hugs Foundation

Published at 6:57pm 8th April 2020.

Due to lockdown affecting the normal way The Hugs Foundation are able to fundraise, they're currently struggling for donations.

The Hugs Foundation in Bodmin provides a rescue and rehabilitation centre for horses, ponies and other animals that have been abandoned.

As well as the health for the animals they also provide a vital service to the young, elderly and people with mental ill health. Some people struggle to communicate with others and animals can be a vital step in developing communication skills, because of this, The Hugs Foundation combine their facilities the focus on animal welfare with therapeutic sessions and interaction for people who will benefit from it.

Currently, the foundation has lost many of their financials to not being able to carry out important well being interventions, their usual fundraising method, meaning the animals may lose out on vital things they need.

They are asking for help either by donations or even animal sponsorship so that this vital service can keep going and continue for the future.

If you're able to help, find out more information on their website here.
