10-year-old encourages people to 'rainbow your street'

Published at 4:33pm 20th April 2020.

10-year-old Harley Gaulton from St Blazey, came up with a creative idea to spread joy during lockdown.

'Rainbow your street' was set up to encourage residents to show off their artistic skills, as well as have some fun, by decorating their houses and streets in the colours of the rainbow.

This initiative was soon taken up by people far and wide. People have been painting rainbows on houses, making rainbow ornaments for their windows, painting message rocks and even creating their own rainbow path.

'This was all his idea and he wanted to be involved in showing appreciation for all key workers and wants to get as many streets in Cornwall to get involved'

Harley's mum, Jo

There are now nearly 400 members on Harley's page, and people are having lots of fun sharing what they have made or seen.

If you want to show off your artist skills, or join the fun, visit Harley's facebook page.
